How Mature Are Metal 3D Printing Technologies?

GSC in conjunction with Eurecat – Technology Centre of Catalonia and Renishaw Ibérica has been searching into his production process potential metal parts that are currently manufactured by machining and could presents best conditions to be produced by additive technologies.

With this analysis we want add value to our production process and the aerospace industry, applying the advantages of additive manufacturing technology such as weight lightening ,

production of complex geometries , topological optimization or waste material reduction in a sector so important like the aerospace.

After an study of the best manufacturing conditions , inspections and post-processes required keeping in mind their applicable standards and requested deliverables.

Finally getting components with better properties than for parts manufactured by the traditional technology of machining.
